About the Artist
Sasha Ackerly was born in Detroit, Michigan and spent her formative years in the suburbs of Dallas–Fort Worth. She is a mixed media artist whose current focus is ceramics, working intuitively so each piece can inform what it becomes. Sasha is completing her BA in Art at Wayne State University, with her degree expected in Fall 2026. She continues to explore a range of materials and processes across sculpture, drawing, and photography, and is interested in combining her photography, artwork, and writing into a longer-term book project. She lives and works in Livonia, Michigan.
